Cardano’s Metaverse features over 22,000 Landholders

Pavia, Cardano’s first Metaverse initiative, states that there are currently over 22,000 pavia.io Land NFT landowners or unique wallet holders. Cardano’s Pavia, which became the first Cardano Metaverse in January, was named after Pavia, Italy, where Gerolamo (Jerome) Cardano was born in 1501. Each land parcel is a uniquely numbered Cardano NFT (CNFT) based on coordinates within Pavia.io, akin to Decentraland but built on proof-of-stake blockchain technology.

The Cardano ecosystem exploded in March, gaining millions of dollars in valuation and TVL in smart contracts through newly launched platforms and DeFi apps. Cardano drew approximately $230 million in DeFi in March. The total value of funds locked on Cardano DEX reached an all-time highs of $434 million on March 28, according to DeFiLIama.
Charles Hoskinson, Snoop Dogg, and others will join Clay Nation on April 5 with exclusive collectibles, unreleased music, pitches, and other content available only on the podcast, according to a Twitter statement. Before the ceremony, both parties voiced their enthusiasm, with Charles Hoskinson telling the community that he has “the best job in the world.” Snoop Dogg, a well-known crypto and NFT fan, tweeted almost simultaneously that the event would be enjoyable.
IOHK has also promoted the event by retweeting Clay Nation’s tweet and mentioning the event’s date.
