The Miami-based ATM company Bitstop will be demonstrating a new ATM that dispenses NFTs. The NFT ATM will be on display at the Bitcoin 2022 Conference, which will take place in Miami Beach from April 6 to 9. Bitstop’s co-founder and chief strategy officer, Doug Carrillo, stated that the company is excited to represent the industry in its “hometown.”
Over the previous 12 months, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have grown into a multibillion-dollar market, yet sales and overall interest have declined dramatically. Last week’s NFT sales, on the other hand, increased by 34% over the week before. Cryptocurrency ATMs, on the other hand, have grown rapidly in recent years, with about 3,000 machines installed globally in Q1 2022. With 1,747 machines, Bitstop is the fifth-largest crypto ATM operator in the world, accounting for 4.8 percent of the 36,688 ATMs installed worldwide.
The debut of Bitstop’s new machine comes on the heels of the Neon NFT platform’s recent launch of an NFT vending machine at 29 John Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. The vending machine accepts credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payments, as well as a little box containing a unique code. The buyer receives the purchased NFT in their wallet after redeeming the ticket from Neon. The new NFT ATM will be positioned near the entrance of the exhibitor hall at booth #610 at the Bitcoin 2022 Conference in Miami, according to ATM operator Bitstop.
