Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem that powers the world’s largest ecosystem, announced today the appointment of Rohit Wad, former Corporate VP at Microsoft, as CTO and Mayur Kamat, former Agoda VP of Product, as Head of Product.
Wad will oversee engineering scalable, compliant, and fast Web3 services and solutions. He will also ensure the exchange’s continued security, stability, and liquidity, as well as meeting the evolving regulatory compliance requirements in the regions where the platform is available. Wad will also concentrate on certainly boosting the engineering team in order to speed up the organisation’s progress.
Kamat will be responsible for the entirety of Binance’s product strategy, route map, and growth. He will coach the organization in developing products that will boost crypto adoption and decrease the barrier to entry for Web3 technology. Wad and Kamat both will work to make Web3 services more accessible and usable to the general public, as well as to drive innovation within the Binance ecosystem.
Before joining Binance and Microsoft Wad previously worked as an Engineering Director at Facebook and Google. Wad was indeed a key figure in the growth of Microsoft Teams and Skype.
Kamat brings to Binance 20 years of experience in technology and product development. Kamat was previously the Vice President of Product at Agoda, where he was in charge of the company’s supply, finance, and marketplace products. He previously led product teams at Hiya and Google. Kamat was part of the team that created Gmail for mobile, Android for Work, Hangouts, Google Voice, and Windows DRM.
