Avalanche co-founder shares his views on Bitcoin’s (BTC) dominance

Kevin Sekniqi, a senior spokesperson in the Avalanche (AVAX) ecosystem, is concerned that Bitcoin (BTC) will maintain its position as the leading cryptocurrency with this level of use and innovation.

Sekniqi tweets to warn that Bitcoin’s (BTC) dominance as the leading cryptocurrency by net market capitalization may be on borrowed time in 2022.

According to him, this possible “flippening” should be attributed to a lack of innovation and new uses for the orange coin. Simultaneously, numerous Bitcoin (BTC) rivals are “innovating.”

As a result, they will almost certainly “outdo” Bitcoin (BTC). And, as Mr. Sekniqi points out, there is no need to compare Bitcoin (BTC) to gold.

His opponents replied that Bitcoin (BTC) could save its number one status due to its decentralisation, since its primary competitors are losing support in search of “innovation.”

Mr. Sekniqi, on the other hand, is confident that innovative blockchains may advance their technological designs without compromising their decentralisation.

The co-founders of Avalanche (AVAX) and Polygon Network (MATIC) had a heated discussion over how their respective blockchains grow.

Sandeep Nailwal of Polygon accused Avalanche of stealing the concept of subnets, which are really sidechains used by Ethereum’s L2s for years.

Prof. Emin Gün Sirer of Avalanche advised Mr. Nailwal to “innovate or be mocked” rather than criticise rivals’ technological innovations.
