Have you wondered what the opinion of game developers is regarding NFTs? Here you go. The game developers despise NFTs and crypto according to a recent survey, the majority of game creators and studios have no plans to develop or work with non fungible tokens (NFTs) or crypto payments.
The State of the Game Industry 2022 survey, released by the Game Creators Conference on Jan. 21, interviewed 2,700 game developers about their interest in NFTs and cryptocurrency. The results were not encouraging for gamers, who had expressed a strong interest in NFTs. The report reflects the following:
- 72% not interested in using crypto as a payment tool
- 70% not interested in NFTs
- 1% interested in NFT and using crypto as a payment tool
Only one of the 14 developer opinions on NFTs and crypto disclosed in the poll was generally positive, with the rest ranging from backhanded to caustic. “It’s the wave of the future,“ was the only favourable comment.
