Apollo Global Management, an investment firm, has made a huge push into the crypto world by appointing former JPMorgan executive Christine Moy its first head of digital assets strategy. Apollo Global Management is one of the world’s top private equity investment companies with $498 billion in assets under management.
About Christine Moy
Christine Moy was working at JPMorgan Chase & Co. for 18 years, where she earned a reputation as one of the industry’s most forward-thinking executives. She was recently appointed as JPMorgan’s head of crypto and metaverse programme which was instrumental in the bank’s bold entry into Ethereum-based Decentraland. She announced her departure from JPMorgan in February 2022 for an unknown opportunity.

“In this newly established position, Christine will oversee digital asset strategy throughout the Apollo. She will also play an important role in the company’s goal to invest in the most creative digital asset firms and founders. The emphasis will be on reshaping the financial services industry, where Apollo can act as a validator and facilitator of new technologies. She will research more opportunities to integrate blockchain technology into our business.”

As per sources, Apollo will seek investment possibilities between $50 million and $250 million for its plans for blockchain and Web 3 world. However, it will not support initiatives that do not have a significant potential for revenue generation.
According to information, Apollo is looking to extend bitcoin to real-world use cases like asset custody, securitizations, and markets.
