On June 4, Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) made an official announcement on Twitter as well as a news release about their partnership with web3 identity platform and NFT domain name operator Unstoppable Domains to distribute free crypto domains to all women living in the UAE capital.
The initiative intends to improve possibilities for women to learn about and eventually engage in web3 in Abu Dhabi, where 50 percent of small and medium-sized businesses are already owned by women.
The programme, which was also tweeted by ADIO, offers Abu Dhabi women a decentralised web address and digital identity, giving them total access over their data and content inside a web3 space that they entirely own.
As the emirate ramps up its aspirations to become a Middle East crypto hub, Abu Dhabi is trying to promote engagement in the Web3 area by women from all communities.
