On Tuesday, CryptoPunk #5364 was transferred to Ukraine’s Ethereum wallet, providing potential support for a donation campaign that has already raised over USD 33 million in cryptocurrencies.
The Punk’s worth has been estimated to be approximately USD 200,000 by Tom Robinson of crypto tracing company Elliptic. According to DeepNFTvalue, which uses machine learning to figure out how much rare NFTs are worth, they estimate it’s worth USD 233,000.
The Punk last sold for USD 31,300 in February 2021. According to the wallet address, the donor has a collection of numerous additional Punks. It came at the end of a golden week for Ukraine’s fast-growing crypto campaign, with over USD 10 million donated in ETH, DOT, USDT, BTC, and other crypto tokens on Tuesday alone, the single-largest day since Ukraine started accepting donations on February 26.
Earlier Tuesday, Michael Chobanian, the operator of a Ukrainian crypto exchange who is assisting the Ministry of Digital Transformation with donations, said that at least USD 14 million in donated crypto had already been spent on military hardware and civilian goods, including food and gas.
