You all may have had trips but have you ever imagined having a trip by paying your all expenses in cryptocurrency? Well, you will be shocked to know that an Italian couple completed a challenge they set for themselves: travel around El Salvador, the small Central American country that made Bitcoin legal tender on September 7, 2021, using only Bitcoin to pay for products and services.
Rikki and Laura were able to travel to El Salvador for 45 days while just relying on Bitcoin for payment. Rikki is a “Bitcoin podcaster and human rights activist who has been involved in the field since 2016,” according to the report, while Laura “works as a community manager in the blockchain space and has been laser-focused on crypto since 2019.”
Hmm, so are you planning to visit El Salvador as well? Here is a tip for you straight from this adventurous couple:
People should ask the vendor “if they accept Bitcoin, and if the vendor answers no, the client should turn around and go,” since “if a vendor refuses to accept Bitcoin, it’s usually not due to infrastructural shortfalls.”
