Analysts at Cathie Wood’s investment management firm, ARK Invest, have predicted that the two market-leading cryptocurrencies will gain even more dominance over the next decade.
According to the firm’s BIS 2022 forecast, Bitcoin’s price might reach more than $1 million per Bitcoin by 2030. Ethereum’s market value might also reach $20 trillion in the next decade.
As a result, the price of ETH would be roughly $168,000/ETH. At this price, Bitcoin and Ethereum would have a combined market capitalization of around $42 trillion.
While the estimation is bold, ARK Invest analysts believe it is still conservative. This is due to the fact that, at that price, Bitcoin and Ethereum would still represent a small portion of the total value of global assets. They emphasise this by pointing out that the global real estate market and global bond market have a respective capitalization of $220 trillion and $124 trillion. According to their calculations, Bitcoin and Ethereum are also likely to surpass gold’s $10 trillion market valuation during this time frame.
