The resistance level is the price at which more and more sellers want to sell their assets as prices rise. Resistance levels can be short-term or long-term, depending on new information that changes the broader market attitude towards assets. As market prices approach resistance levels, traders choose to sell their assets to gain more profit instead of risking prices falling back.
Simple resistance level in technical analysis means drawing a line along the highest highs for the time period in the chart. The line can be flat or sloped depending on price action. There are many other advanced ways to calculate the resistance level like treadlines, moving average etc.
