Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, said on Friday that Dogecoin may be used to purchase all Tesla items.
Tesla may use dogecoin to buy stuff prices ranging between $50 to $1,900, according to Musk. On Tuesday, he informed that the electric car maker will recognise dogecoin as a form of payment initially on trial basis. He further informed on twitter that Tesla will offer selected products payable with Dogecoin.
Tesla offers clothes, belt buckles also with “Giga Texas” logo, miniature replicas of its cars, as well as a “Cyber Whistle,” a novelty commodity motivated by the much expected Cybertruck.
Elon Musk, in May last year asked his followers on Twitter if Tesla should accept dogecoin.
Thanks to Musk’s cryptocurrency tweets, including one where he branded Memecoin as people’s cryptocurrency, Memecoin’s price had surged 5,859 percent over the preceding year. Now, Dogecoins may be used to purchase a wide range of items, which start at $50 and go up to $1,900.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla was named “Person of the Year” by Time magazine in the year 2021. In a recent magazine article, he supported dogecoin and claimed that it was healthier for transactions. He also added that Bitcoins are not a good solution for trade. He described the dogecoin as just a “hustle” in his May participation as a special presenter on “Saturday Night Live.”
He has more 66 million Twitter followers and has been active during this year’s holiday buying rush.
