Kiat Lim, the 28-year-old son of reclusive banker Peter Lim, and Elroy Cheo, of the Mewah International Inc. edible oil business, created ARC to construct the exclusive community. From entrepreneurs to social media stars, the two foresee an online club where anybody holding the start-up’s non-fungible tokens may join.
Now, ARC intends to create an app-based community that will bring people together from Taipei to South Korea and Australia to network, cooperate on projects, and exchange experiences. Following that, it intends to hold special member events before eventually launching an ARC metaverse (a vast online virtual community with a game component). Those who refuse to use their NFTs will be charged an annual subscription fee.
ARC will conduct thorough authentication of its members to guarantee that they are who they claim to be. Since before Covid-19, the founders have been discreetly working on their venture, emphasising recommendations for membership in the same way that established clubs do. The software is now only available for iPhones, but an Android version is in the works.
“We are a networking ecosystem that encompasses online and offline experiences, and pushing online boundaries,” Lim said in an interview in Singapore.
