Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Saturday that he was approached by a Twitter legal team for violating an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) by revealing that the social networking platform’s automatic user checks used a 100-person sample size.
Any sensible random sampling process is fine. If many people independently get similar results for % of fake/spam/duplicate accounts, that will be telling.
I picked 100 as the sample size number, because that is what Twitter uses to calculate <5% fake/spam/duplicate.

Elon Musk kept Twitter purchase on hold
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, delayed the purchase of Twitter until the firm could provide evidence to back up its claims that spam/fake accounts account for less than 5% of its users. He stated that his team will conduct a random poll of Twitter users to determine whether Twitter’s claims regarding the number of bots on the platform are genuine.
Musk said on Twitter “To figure out, my team will randomly sample 100 @Twitter followers. “I urge people to follow the process and see what they find.”
Musk explained that the sample size was kept as 100 since that is how Twitter calculates 5% spam, fake, and duplicates. The legal team of Twitter has charged Tesla CEO Elon Musk with violating an NDA. Elon Musk has revealed that he would still buy Twitter, after delaying his acquisition for a while.

Twitter stock dropped
Elon Musk’s attempt to take over Twitter has hit yet another roadblock with the “temporary hold” tweet. Twitter’s stock price dropped 19% after the purchase was put on hold. The company ultimately decided to be purchased at the end of April, after outlining a “poison pill” strategy to prevent the sale.
