According to a study by blockchain security firm PeckShield, the attack on the renowned crypto exchange resulted in the theft of 4,600 ETH. Simultaneously, the corporation claims that no user payments have been lost.
Yesterday, reports surfaced that the Singapore-based digital asset marketplace had been subjected to suspicious activities and had to halt withdrawals.
After numerous users claimed that their cash had vanished, the exchange later acknowledged the news.
CryptoCom, on the other hand, said that “all money is safe” and that it had initiated an investigation. All the company’s users’ 2FA was likewise reset.
PeckShield, on the other hand, said that the hackers were able to steal around 4,600 ETH (around USD 15 million).
Furthermore, the blockchain security firm claimed that the criminals are now laundering cash through TornadoCash, an ETH-based coin mixer.
It’s a wrap for this story.
