Jordan Lazaro Gustave, a founder member of FlamingoDAO and former chief operating officer of liquidity mechanism Aave, also joined Aglaé Ventures with Vanessa Grellet.
The Aglaé venture capital firm has offices in Paris, New York, and San Francisco. It participates in asset-light operations and early-stage technology startups. Marketplaces, software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers, content platforms, developers and application platforms, and digital-native companies are its examples.
Aglaé Ventures owns stakes in big companies
Aglaé owns stakes in companies such as Airbnb, Lyft, Netflix, Slack, and Spotify. It invests between 100,000 and 100 million euros. Agache, the majority stakeholder of Mot Hennessy Louis Vuitton, has also invested in the firm.
Grellet and Gustave will concentrate their efforts on four areas: decentralised and centralised finance, web3 architecture, layer-1 and layer-2 scalability, and the creator economy.
“We’ll both have a lot of functional knowledge to assist the entrepreneurs move from zero to one,” Grellet explained.
Grellet was hired last year to strengthen CoinFund’s position as among the most hands-on partners to initial businesses developing blockchain technology solutions.
Grellet will continue to advise CoinFund, according to CoinFund President Christopher Perkins. As CoinFund restructures its personnel, no one individual will replace Grellet as head of portfolio growth.
