Music icons Eminem and Snoop Dogg debuted their NFT avatars at the MTV Video Music Awards 2022 (VMA) on August 28. The two cooperated on their song ‘From the D 2 the LBC,’ which they performed live on stage.
The tightly restricted performance began with the rappers seated on a couch as Snoop smoked a ridiculously enormous joint. Eminem(Slim Shady) and Snoop Dogg (Doggfather) are both transformed into their alter NFT ego of Bored Ape versions of themselves by the contact high before eventually returning to their normal selves.

According to reports, Snoop Dogg has $17 million in NFTs, and his collections are now highly valuable. In contrast, DappRadar reports that Eminem owns 166 NFTs from 32 different collections. Earlier this year, he spent $452,00 on a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT.
“Otherside” has no scheduled release date because it is presently in production. According to the sources, the Web3 metaverse game is still in “Phase 1,” meaning that only the owners of its Otherdeed land NFTs and a select group of developers have had access to some of the game’s features.
This VMA performance is just one more illustration of how NFTs are influencing popular culture. Unique blockchain tokens known as NFTs, which signify ownership, have been co-opted by everything from M&Ms to fast food chains to become digital status symbols for the rich and famous.
