The candy company Mars, which produces branded M&M’s, announced that it has reached an agreement with the Universal Music Group (UMG) record label 10:22PM to create limited-edition M&Ms based on the Kingship, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Mutant App on August 24.
This information was made public last November, 10:22 PM label, following the lead of well-known virtual band Gorillaz, has created characters based on Bored Ape Yacht Club artwork and is creating original music for the group, which will perform concerts in the Metaverse.
The Bored Ape and Kingship logos are featured on each piece of Mars’ NFT-inspired limited edition M&Ms. The exclusive NFT sweets in gift boxes and jars will only be sold for a total of 10,000 items.
Currently, no more gold gift boxes are available. However, the M&Ms Celebratory Gift Box is still available for $59.99. Users can also purchase the limited-edition M&Ms Kingship gift container for $39.99. It’s uncertain whether Mars will reintroduce the limited-edition Kingship M&Ms in the future.
To be clear, neither Yuga Labs nor the original BoApe Yacht Club brand are partners in this M&M arrangement. Instead, owners of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs are free to utilise their exclusive pictures to make projects and products and, if they choose, to sell the artwork to businesses.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club has significantly advanced in the music industry. The renowned producer and musician Timbaland has made music centred upon his own Bored Ape avatar and established a record label for Kingship in addition to Kingship.
