Prada, an Italian luxury brand, has followed other top luxury companies in Web3 and has announced the release of its Ethereum NFTs line on June 2nd. Many premium fashion labels, like Gucci, Balenciaga, and Balmain, have hopped on the NFT bandwagon. Prada is the most recent addition to the list.
Prada to release 100 ETH NFTs
Prada, the luxury Italian fashion business, will release its first autonomous NFT collection on Thursday, June 2nd. The drop of 100 Ethereum NFTs, dubbed Timecapsule NFT, will coincide with the brand’s most recent Timecapsule fashion release.

Prada has also opened a new Discord community channel, Prada Crypted, to increase its digital presence. It is an open server and anyone can join.
Prada Timecapsule launches began in December 2019. Every first Thursday on a monthly basis, the firm makes limited-edition goods available to buy for 24 hours in specific areas. On average, 50 editions are made accessible on a first-come, first-served basis. Buyers receive the products in a customised box. However, from next week, the purchase will come with a special NFT. Former owners will get NFTs as well.
Customers are given a free airdrop of the digital collectible when they buy physical merchandise from Prada’s latest collaboration with Cassius Hirst, the son of artist Damien Hirst, according to announcements.
The unisex button-down shirts of Prada x Cassius Hirst are available in black or white. Therefore, the matching NFTs are black and white GIF pill capsules. The collectibles are linked to the drop’s serial number as well as the actual shirt number.
The Prada NFT release makes use of the Aura Blockchain Consortium. Aura is a non-profit organisation formed by Prada, LVMH, and Cartier with the goal of combating counterfeits and ensuring authenticity through the use of blockchain technology. It is built on Quorum, an Ethereum-based blockchain platform that enables blockchain technology, ConsenSys Rollups, and other blockchain solutions.
