Indian police introduces Polygon blockchain based portal to report crime

A statement made on October 10 said that the Indian Police in the city of Firozabad have established a web platform for reporting crimes using the Polygon (MATIC) modular blockchain.

Residents will find it simpler to report crimes thanks to the establishment of the policecomplaintonblockchain.in website, which was initiated by the police authorities. The city of Firozabad may be found in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP).

Users will have the ability to lodge complaints in a way that is both unchangeable and open to the public via the site. Because of this, registered complaints cannot be removed or modified after they have been submitted.

On Polygon, modular blockchains are customised blockchain networks that concentrate on just a select few operations, outsourcing the remainder to other layers. The website also offers further information regarding the portal, such as the procedure for filing complaints, the available features, and how the relevant authorities will respond to complaints that have been submitted.

Users may access the form and register their complaints by scanning the unique QR code that is located on the door of each local police station in the region. During this time, the co-founder of Polygon, Sandeep Nailwal, as well as an Indian national showed their enthusiasm for the move. They believe that the measure would assist victims achieve justice and will also help reduce the amount of corruption that exists in India’s criminal justice system.
