Heirloom raises $8 million from top investors Ripple and Forte to develop tools to assist companies in web3 world

Heirloom, a Software service company, raises $8 million in a funding round led by Ripple and Forte. The funding will be used to provide tools to assist companies in entering the web3 world using Ripple-based blockchain XRP Ledger. Heirloom is presently helping companies to generate and monitor a range of web3 assets, including NFTs and verifiable credentials (VCs) using its tools.

The starting of the development of web3 tools

The co-founders of the company, Nick Dazé and Julian Vergel de Dios were working on the development of these tools from 2021. They did a market study and decided to focus on enterprise businesses. They discovered that mainstream customers grasped the potential of the web3 concept, however many of them would consider it really beneficial only if their favourite companies or services joined the web3 ecosystem. On the other hand, they further discovered that most organisations were interested in testing with web3 potential, after further due diligence. The organisations also discovered the procedure as too expensive and time-consuming, he noted.

Features of tool developed by Heirloom

Heirloom’s software is a no-code toolset that allows corporate organizations to easily launch web3 initiatives. According to co-founder Dazé, the key stakeholders for Heirloom would be marketing and product experts. Heirloom’s technological stack is based on the Ripple blockchain-based XRP Ledger (XRPL) which was chosen based on transaction time, stability, and energy footprint.

Future plans of Heirloom Software service provider

By the end of 2022, Heirloom hopes to announce collaborations for its software products. According to Dazé, it is gaining popularity in unexpected fields such as academia as well as the food and beverage industry. The Software Service provider will also use the funding to grow from the current 12-person staff and to develop the product.
